The Olympus 275 is a the most cushioned in Altra.
The shoes have all the advantages you've come to expect from Altra. A roomy toe box, zero drop, and low weight. In addition, they have a high midsole that guarantees comfort even on long distance trails.

The MATRYX upper material is reinforced with Kevlar fibers (every third fiber is Kevlar). This increases its durability while maintaining low weight and high breathability.
The advantage of trail shoes over hiking boots is their lightness, comfort, and softness. Trail shoes significantly minimize the likelihood of pressure points and blisters, and thanks to their low weight, your feet won't tire as quickly. Other advantages include excellent breathability, a feature we particularly appreciate on summer treks - your feet don't get unnecessarily sweaty in them. Compared to classic trekking shoes or any shoes with a membrane, they dry significantly faster. When walking in strong winds, rain, and wet terrain, they have proven to be excellent in combination with waterproof socks.

Reviewed another generation of the product: Altra Olympus 275 men's
Nemohl jsem se "dočkat" na tuhle verzi. Po nákupu jsem do nich vlezl a nevylezl. Zajímavost je, že není potřeba volit o číslo až číslo a půl větší velikost, což je nutností u jakékoliv jiné značky, zde si myslím postačí o půl až číslo větší. Rozhodně nutno vyzkoušet.
Zkusil jsem trailový běh, čekal jsem ovšem více, než jen pohodlí a stabilitu, kterou tato bota skutečně má.
Na silnici fakt ne, připadal jsem si jako v ploutvích.
ALE - vzal jsem je do hor. Tady musím říct, že jsou stvořené do horského terénu a to tak, jak žádná jiná bota. Jak se o nich píše, že jsou "rychlejší", tak podle mne pouze v horách. Bál jsem se vibramu, který na mokrém kameni klouže, no a tento skutečně drží. Do horských schodů šlapou parádně a co je teda naprosto super - seběhy. Tady je konstrukce na komfort a stabilitu naprosto na místě! Chodidlo podrží i v technicky náročném terénu, mají perfektní tření na plochém kameni, mohl jsem si dovolit to, co s jinou botou ne. Seběhy jsou komfortní, kostra netrpí, svaly tolik neunaví. Za mně je to špičková bota do hor.
Svršek vypadá ultra-odolně, prodyšnost je skvělá, za velkého deště je bota pořád super, schnou rychle. V kombinaci s dobrou ponožkou jsou prostě nadstandartní.
Ta měkká látka v oblasti achilovky, která má suplovat běžné návleky - jako ano, rozhodně lepší než standartní provedení, ale s návlekem je to 100%. Určitě bych to na botě neměnil, protože některé boty s tvrdou obrubou mi rozedíraly kotník, tohle přidává na komfortu.
Do hor pětihvězdičkové boty jistě.
