Gossamer Gear Gorilla 50 Backpack 2023

Gossamer Gear Gorilla 50 is an ultralight backpack suitable for treks, pilgrimages, but also for shorter trips. The updated version for 2021 with a larger volume of 50 liters (the backpack is slightly bigger inside) and a new type of back mattress with better ventilation! The new backpack comes with a hip belt, size M.

Enough volume for longer treks and hikes, but thanks to the compression straps and detachable waist belt, it suddenly turns into a smaller pack for shorter trips and hikes that weighs almost nothing. It is rightfully one of our best-selling backpacks and most popular models among our team members. It won us over thanks to its great balance of weight, carrying comfort and durability. The backpack belongs to the top weight class due to its volume, it is very comfortable to carry even on long trips and, most importantly, it can withstand such long deployments. We also appreciate the practical removable back padding, which can be turned into a seat in no time.

In size S and M, and when filled to the appropriate limits with the use of the compression straps, it can also be taken as hand luggage on the plane.

You can replace the back panel with a Thinlight mattress (only valid for backpack size M).

The waist belt with lid pockets is removable (weight approx. 200 g). Size M is included in the backpack. If you need a different size, it must be ordered separately.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE SIZE OF THE BACKPACK?

Have the length of your spine measured from the level of the iliac crest (the top of the bone on the side of your back) to the C7 vertebrae at the base of your neck. This is the top of the first vertebra that protrudes when the head is tilted.

Length 49-60+ cm = size L
length 41-50 cm = size M
Length 29-41 cm = size S
