Montbell Merino Wool Plus Light Hoodie is ultralight sun hoodie. It delivers warmth and moisture regulation with heat-retaining, highly odor-resistant merino wool plus, which includes polyester for quicker drying. The lightweight and breathable fabric provides comfort on its own in summer and slides into a layering system in winter for outstanding year-round use.

The sun hoodie works as a loose, light and very airy outer layer that protects you from the sun. This means you don't have to use sunscreen, which the sun hoodie replaces. Protection against sunburn is provided by a comfortable hood with a loose fit.

Merino Wool Plus is a blend of merino wool and polyester. Therefore, we do not recommend this sweatshirt for hot weather. Thanks to the merino wool, it insulates quite well. It is much better suited to conditions where the sun shines brightly but the air temperature is not too high or the wind is blowing. Such conditions can be encountered, for example, when crossing a ridge or on the Baltic coast.

Thanks to its good insulation and high breathability, you can use it all year round. In cold conditions you can use it as thermal underwear. Either as part of a layering system or in a sleeping bag.
